For those of you who are relatively new to the Maths Dept.,
Clive Davis was head of the Dept. for a period of more than
two decades from the time of his appointment as a professor in
Maths. in 1955/56. Among his several achievements/awards,
he was awarded the DFC for his heroic efforts as a pilot during
the Second World War.

Clive Davis was also the first Treasurer of the AustMS from 1956–1968, and then President of the AustMS 1968–1970.
