Science meets Parliament
03 Feb 2017
Science and Technology Australia organises an annual 2-day event during which scientists can meet parliamentarians (and thus be ambassadors for their disciplines).
The Society is allowed to nominate two delegates and Council has decided to provide up to $1,500 each in 2017 to support registration costs, accommodation and travel expenses for up to two Society early career researchers (up to 9 years post PhD).
Details of the event, on 21st and 22nd March, can be found at http://scienceandtechnologyaustralia.org.au/event/science-meets-parliament-2017/.
Registration details, which will become relevant for those selected, are at https://sta.eventsair.com/science-meets-parliament-2017/sta-members/Site/Register .
To express interest in attending this event as a Society delegate, please reply to me at email@example.com, with a brief bio of up to 100 words (required for distribution to parliamentarians if you are selected) and your reasons for wishing to attend.
A list of recent Society delegates, who could provide more information, is
