Effective Visualisation in the Mathematical Sciences 3

Dates: Tuesday 13 November
Venue: University of Newcastle, X602 NewSpace (City Campus)

EViMS was founded by Jonathan Borwein, Michael Barnsley and Judy-anne Osborn, in recognition of the significance of visualisation in the Mathematical Sciences and the increasing opportunities to do so with modern tools. Previous EViMS conferences spanned a broad swathe of this potential, demonstrating diverse computing technologies as well as mathematical sculpture, and the points of interface between the two by utilising tools such as 3D printers. The previous conferences spanned mathematics research and mathematics education, illustrating the productive synergy that may exist between the two. We the organising committee intend that this upcoming EViMS will continue to provoke and promote creativity and cross-fertilisation in these spaces.
