What is Summer School?

The AMSI Summer School is a four-week residential school in the mathematical sciences and cognate disciplines. The Summer School is based on successful international schools and brings together more than 150 students from around the country for a summer of maths, stats and fun. Eight subjects are offered by eminent lecturers from around Australia, and give you the opportunity to study areas that may not be available at your home university.

Why attend?

  • Learn from Australia's leading mathematicians and statisticians
  • Gain credit towards your degree (with approval from your university)
  • Broaden and deepen your knowledge base with advanced coursework
  • Meet future employers at the careers afternoon and build your networks at the social events
