SECOND MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTERS IN SPORT CONFERENCE

The Second Conference on Mathematics and Computers in Sport was held on 11-13 July 1994 at Bond University. The conference was formally opened by Chris Fydler, Australian 100 metres swimming champion, who is a student at Bond.

The papers are available in proceedings format from the conference director, Associate Professor Neville de Mestre, School of Information Technology, Bond University, Qld 4229 at $30 (including postage).

There were 34 participants at the conference including one from the USA and three from New Zealand. They all seemed to enjoy the conference format, the evening discussions, the lectures, the golf laboratory demonstrations and the warm Queensland winter.

The conference was sponsored by the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Mathematical Society.
