Thinking about returning
to teaching?
Are you a qualified
primary or secondary teacher considering returning to teaching in NSW
public schools after more than five years away from the classroom?
Would you like to
find out what's going on in schools before you return?
The NSW Department
of Education and Training is offering a refresher program to assist
qualified teachers in specified target groups make a successful transition
back to teaching.
The program will
be offered for the first time in November 2002 for teachers interested
in returning to full time, part time, temporary or casual teaching in:
- areas of curriculum
need (especially Mathematics, Science, Technological and Applied Studies)
- identified parts
of the state (especially western and south western Sydney and non-coastal
rural NSW).
Please note that
it is an offence for a person convicted of a serious sex offence to
apply for this program. Screening checks will be conducted on recommended
applicants.
