Description

We offer an annual 'top-up' scholarship to a student holding either an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent award for full-time research in plant pathology modelling and prediction leading to the award of a PhD. The research will focus on modelling the spatial and/or temporal dynamics of plant disease epidemics. The project is related to a larger GRDC-funded project, but is relatively open in scope.

Eligibility

Prospective PhD candidates holding or applying for an APA or equivalent award with strong undergraduate academic training in a field related to Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Biology are eligible to apply. The successful applicant will have skills in mathematics, statistics, and/or computer science. No background in plant pathology is required, but the successful applicant must be interested in this field.
