The NSW Trustee and Guardian is offering stipend to cover living, accomodation and travel costs for an applicant to attend the 'Random walks and asymptopic geometry of groups' course at the Institute Henri Poincare, Paris, France. The course runs for 3 months from mid-January 2014 to mid-April 2014. There will be no course fees but you must register with the university if you are successful. The applicant will be reviewed by the professor for mathematics from the University of Sydney. If ‘financial support request’ is required, the university closes its applications 6 months prior to the beginning of the course. Financial support requests are internal to the university and are separate to the offer of scholarship. Applicants must hold a BSci from an Australian University.
