Top-up Scholarship in Statistics

CSIRO, Mathematical
and Information Sciences is offering a top-up scholarship for a PhD
in statistics. The aim of the PhD is to develop new Bayesian methodology
for the spatial-temporal modelling of health outcomes.
The successful candidate
will be involved in the development of methodology and in it's applications
to the area of health. Candidates are expected to have a first class
honours degree or equivalent with a strong mathematical background.
The successful candidate
must also have or expect to receive a Commonwealth or University postgraduate
(Primary) scholarship or equivalent University Postgraduate Award. The
PhD work will be carried out under a joint supervisor arrangement with
the University of NSW and a staff member at CSIRO, North Ryde.
