The Western Australian Centre of Excellence in Industrial Optimisation (WACEIO) is offering top up scholarships to outstanding Australian resident PhD candidates who are applying for an APA or CUPS (Curtin University Postgraduate Scholarship).

The supplementary support will raise the value of the APA/CUPS to $30,000 (tax-free) per year.

WACEIO is a newly formed Centre, within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, whose aim is to provide state of the art industrial optimisation expertise to improve the efficiency and international competitiveness of the agriculture, mining and petroleum, defence, telecommunications and transport industries in WA and nationally. WACEIO has a strong team of researchers conducting industry focussed research with a number of industries partners. Students will join this team. WACEIO has access to state-of-the-art computing facilities, including a shared memory multiprocessor SGP Origin 2000.
