Two PhD Scholarships for RFID Development

The department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, in
conjunction with its centre for telecommunications and Information
Engineering, is offering two PhD scholarships for the research and
development of radio frequency identification tags (RFIDs) under
the ARC Discovery grant, in collaboration with CSIRO's Division of
Molecular and Health Technologies at the rate of $26,000 pa (tax
free) for three years.
Two PhD scholarships will require an honours degree in
Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering with sound knowledge
of RF/Microwave Engineering/Antennas technology. Experimental and
analytical works will involve development of antennas and RF/Microwave
devices for active and passive RFID tags and readers. Solid
foundation in applied Electromagnetics - RF/Microwave/Antennas is
essential. Skills in RF/Microwave CAD tools - Agilent EEsof ADS,
Zealand IE3D and CST Microwave Studio and interests in programming
microchips are also desired for the development of RFID readers.

residency.
