Deakin University is offering the opportunity to become part of an exciting team of multi-disciplinary researchers at the Gelong Technology Precinct.  A new research center has been created dedicated to investigating the development and application of new materials, modelling (microfluidics) and biosciences to medicine, automotive and aerospace applications.
 
The center is offering scholarships in research over the following spectrum of engineering and scientific fields:
  • molecular and simulation modelling
  • nano-composites and materials
  • surface engineering and coatings
  • molecular biology
  • cell biology
  • tissue generation and repair
  • protein and physical chemistry
  • microfluidic modelling
  • amorphous and nano-crystalline metals
  • conductive fibers
  •  automotive/aerospace material models
  • biomaterials
  • metabolic diseases
  • neural degenerative diseases
  • growth and aging
  • biosecurity
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents or New Zealand citizens and have achieved a first class honours degree or equivalent.
