TRC Mathematical Modelling is an industry funded contract research and consulting group within the Department of Applied Mathematics. If was founded in 1985 as the Teletraffic Research Centre. Working for TRC Mathematical Modelling represents a unique opportunity to work in mathematics at the interface between academia and industry. In such a role, you will use the latest mathematical research to deliver practical solutions to the important problems in industry.

We are looking for bright, enthusiastic people who want to see mathematics used to its fullest potential in practical circumstances.

You should have:

• an Honours degree or equivalent research knowledge, experience and expertise, in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines;
• the capability to understand and develop mathematical models of industrial systems.

Salary: Level A $41,483 - $50,523 per annum, plus attractive superannuation benefits.
A minimum of $47,066 per annum is payable to the holder of a PhD.

This fixed-term position is available immediately for a period of two years.
