The Centre of National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine
(CONROD) is a clinical research centre within the School of Medicine.
CONROD was established for the primary purpose of advancing research
into the acute treatment and rehabilitation of people injured in motor
vehicle accidents or through other analogous events. CONROD supports
five key research programs. This position will be located at Herston.
In the role of Research Assistant - Statistical Support your duties
will include statistical analysis, interpretation of findings, and contribution
to publications and other documents as required in consultation with
the relevant academic staff members.
You should possess an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or an equivalent
combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will
have experience using SPSS, SAS or similar packages, and be able to
apply statistical principles as they apply to health related research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is
the ability to work well within a team environment. Your ability to
operate independently within the framework and guidelines established
within the Centre, exercising initiative and judgment will be highly
regarded.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level
6. The remuneration package will be in the range of $54,651 to $58,891
per annum, including employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
