Visualisation of Large and Complex Networks

NICTA is seeking applicants from high performing and entrepreneurial researchers in specific programs of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) disciplines for a continuing appointment as Senior Researcher (Level B/C). This position is a one year contract with the HYM Program with a potential extension to five years.

This position aims to pursue a research agenda under the general heading of visualisation of large and complex networks, within the framework and research vision of HUM.

Current social networks, computer networks, software structures, and biochemical networks are huge: thousands, if not millions, of entities and their interconnections. Visualisation of these networks is essential for their analysis. The size and complexity of these networks makes the visualisation problem an exciting research challenge.

Remuneration will be internationally competitive, and funds will be available also for research support and infrastructure, and international conference travel support.
