In the role of Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Research Fellow you will work with Dr Bevan Thompson, Professor Kevin Burrage and Dr Diane Donovan of the School of Physical Sciences (Mathematics) at the University of Queensland, and Dr Alex Burtaev of Tarong Energy Corporation on an ARC funded project titled "Modelling, simulation and risk analysis in the Australian energy markets".

You should possess a PhD or equivalent research experience in any area of mathematics with applications to financial mathematics.

Applicants should also have a demonstrated record of research achievement in stochastic modelling and the analysis and numerical solution of stochastic models.

This is a fixed term, full-time appointment initially for a period of two years at Academic Level A or eighteen months at Academic Level B.

The remuneration package will be in the range of $45,574 - $55,507(Level A) - $58,429 - $69,384 (Level B) per annum, including employer superannuation contributions of 9%.

Experience in modelling in the energy or finance industries is essential
for appointment at Level B.
