Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which will be offered on a full-time fixed-term basis for a period of one year in the first instance.

The Statistical Research Fellow will liaise with epidemiologists and other scientific personnel to provide statistical support for Cohort Studies Unit projects, including a major new study "Childhood Determinants of Adult Health".

Applicants should possess a masters (for Academic Level A) or PhD (for Academic Level B) qualification in statistics, mathematics or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills are essential, as is experience with data analysis and report writing. Advanced skills and experience using database and statistical analysis software packages are also required.

An appointment at Junior Research Fellow (Academic Level A) will have a total remuneration package of up to $55,590 per annum (comprising salary within the range $38,175- $51,000 plus 9% superannuation).
An appointment at Research Fellow (Academic Level B) will have a total remuneration package of up to $68,842 per annum (comprising salary within the range $53,565- $63,158 plus 9% superannuation). The University offers excellent employment benefits and a pleasant working environment.
