Accounting is a program of cooperative research to develop techniques
for reducing greenhouse gases by managing carbon emissions and sinks.
It includes partners from academic, research and government sectors.

CSIRO Land and
Water, in association with the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse
Accounting, is seeking a Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Fellow to
participate in a program to improve knowledge of terrestrial sources
and sinks of atmospheric CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) across the
Australian continent, their responses to climate variability, climate
change, and changes in land use and land management. A focus will be
the application of inverse modelling (data assimilation) approaches
using physical biogeochemical process models in conjunction with
long-time-series remotely sensed data.
This position is
for a two year term.
