Total Remuneration:
Level 6: A$51,811 - A$57,240 per year.
(Salary Level 6: A$43,778 - A$48,365 per year plus up to 17% employer
superannuation
plus leave loading.)
The School of Surveying and Spatial Information Systems is seeking a
Research Assistant
to join the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Group working on a
number of GPS
research projects. The successful applicant will undertake the development
of GPS carrier
phase data processing software, receiver/computer interface software
for real-time
operations and data communications software for a variety of applications.
Essential criteria:
a degree in Applied Science, Geomatics/Surveying, Engineering,
Computer Science or equivalent; good computing skills; experience in
computer
programming (principally in the C/C++ languages) and in the development
of GPS
software; as well as a knowledge of EEO/AA principles.
Desirable criteria:
experience in a university research environment.
Membership of a
University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of
employment.
