PhD studentship opportunities
CISG (Computational Imaging Science Group)

CISG have five PhD studentships available for projects in medical imaging science. Projects available include:

  • An MR compatible PET system (filled)
  • Brain Shape
  • Information Theory for Image Alignment
  • Image Segmentation and Statistical Shape Modelling
  • Image deformation

The EPSRC Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) "From Medical Images to Useful Clinical Information" Image Guidance for Minimially Invasive Hip Replacement Geometric alignment of image slices in 3D.

Applicants should have a good honours degree in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science or other numerate subject and an interest in imaging, vision or medical applications. The Division offers an established PhD programme with access to excellent state-of-the-art imaging, measurement and computational equipment.

EPSRC Studentships will be funded at EPSRC rates and in addition there will be ample opportunities to supplement the standard stipend.
