Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ecosystems Invasibility as a Complex Systems Property
$52K to $58K + Superannuation

The successful applicant will join a new collaborative research group in the area of ecological risk analysis and complex systems science. The position is to investigate the use of complex systems theory to explore the properties of ecosystems that increase their susceptibility to invasion by exotic organisms, and specifically whether the error
tolerance and attack vulnerability of communication networks have parallels in such ecosystem properties as invasibility and resilience.

You will have a PhD in mathematical ecology, mathematics or theoretical physics, and will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge to contribute to one of the most pressing problems for biodiversity, in an area crying out for theoretical advances.
