Remuneration: (Inclusive of superable UNSW academic loading of $3,000 pa)

  • Senior Lecturer $78,983 - 90, 615 pa
  • Lecturer $65, 025 - $76,660 pa

Applications are invited for the positions of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the field of Computer Science or a related discipline. The successful applicant will join a vibrant School that aims to provide high-quality educational programs as well as a dynamic, productive, output-driven research environment.

Active research programs are maintained in the areas of antenna arrays, AI, complex systems, control theory, image and video coding and transmission, evaluation of computer networks, image processing and interpretation, information and communication technology governance, mobile communications, operations research, quantum computing, radar and electromagnetic engineering, remote sensing, robotics, software metrics, speech processing and virtual environments. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake an active research program.

The School is seeking someone who will add to the School's research activities and who will compliment the School's teaching profile in the area of Information and Communication Technology Governance.

The successful applicant will have

  • a PhD or equivalent in a related field
  • a demonstrated record of high quality research
  • and ability and willingness to undertake an active research program and contribute to research in at least one of the School's current research programs
  • and ability and willingness to teach at all levels and in a range of topics within the School's teaching program
  • an ability and willingness to contribute to aspects of the School administration and to serve on UNSW/ADFA committees
  • excellent English written and oral communication skills

Membership of an approved University superannuation scheme is a condition of employment.
