The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is Australia's premier employer of graduates interested in a career in international affairs. We are seeking outstanding graduates from a range of disciplines, to serve and promote Australia's interests at home and overseas.

Our graduates undertake a unique two-year professional development program in Canberra, and are then eligible for a posting to one of more than 80 Australian diplomatic missions around the world.

Applicants should have a three-year Bachelor degree, or expect to complete a degree by the end of 2003. Applicants must be Australian citizens by 30 May 2003, and offers of employment are conditional on applicants receiving security and medical clearances.

The starting salary for the 2004 intake will be specified int he department's new Certified Agreement.
