Casual Lecturing Opportunities 2002

School of Education, UNSW seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced people for placement on a 12 month eligibility list for casual academic teaching staff.

Appointees will teach undergraduates enrolled in the BABEd and BScBEd programs and postgraduates in the Diploma in Education program. Teaching responsibilities involve lecturing and tutoring between two and six hours per week.

Method Lecturers are required for Business Studies, Computing Studies, Chinese and Mathematics.

The rates for casual academic staff are as follows: Casual Lecturing Rate (per one hour lecture) - A$101.94 Casual Tutoring Rate (per one hour tutorial) - A$72.70

Essential criteria: a teaching qualification in the relevant discipline with a minimum of five years' teaching experience; recent teaching experience in a NSW secondary school; ability to model exemplary teaching skills and demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching as well as a knowledge and understanding of EEO/AA principles.
