IPART
regulates monopolies (electricity, gas, water, transport) in NSW, and
undertakes special investigations for the NSW Government. We balance
the interests of consumers, companies and government to ensure the best
outcomes for the community.
We
require a good analytical thinker who can provide all-round advice on
commercial and economic policy issues. Your work will have an impact
on everyone in NSW.
Primary
purpose of the role is to assist the Program Manager and the industry
team with specific projects, and provides all-round advice on commercial
and economic policy issues.
Selection
Criteria:
- Recent tertiary
qualifications in a numerical discipline (accounting, economics, engineering,
finance, mathematics, physics)
- The ability to
analyse the economics and finance of commercial enterprises
- Enthusiasm for
policy analysis across a wide range of issues affecting consumers,
the environment and economic development
- Good communication
skills (written & oral)
- Understanding
of EEO, Ethical Practice and OH&S
- Computer skills
in Word & Excel spreadsheets
