Forestry Tasmania is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated person to join its Derwent District operations group based in Hobart.

Role:

  • maintain and develop District information systems including applications of GIS and GPS technology
  • assist with the training of District staff in the use of information systems
  • analyse, interrogate and report forest management data.

Applicants must have:

  • Associate Diploma or Degree in Applied Science (or equivalent) in survey/information technology
  • experience in GIS including ARC/INFO preferably from a land management perspective
  • a strong team and customer service focus.
