Duties: You will carry out research into terminal effects modelling.

The position requires:

• The ability to develop and interpret computer models relating to fluid dynamics;
• Knowledge of computational methods used for the simulation of shock or impact phenomena against structures;
• The capacity to develop empirical relationships determined through simulations for use in weapons effects modelling;
• The ability to assist in the design of experiments to validate modelling results;
• Knowledge of computer operating systems such as UNIX and modern coding languages appropriate for solving scientific problems;
• Tertiary qualifications in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent qualifications and relevant experience.
