Duties:
You will carry out research into terminal effects modelling.
The
position requires:
- The ability to
develop and interpret computer models relating to fluid dynamics;
- Knowledge of
computational methods used for the simulation of shock or impact phenomena
against structures;
- The capacity
to develop empirical relationships determined through simulations
for use in weapons effects modelling;
- The ability to
assist in the design of experiments to validate modelling results;
- Knowledge of
computer operating systems such as UNIX and modern coding languages
appropriate for solving scientific problems;
- Tertiary qualifications
in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Applied Mathematics
or equivalent qualifications and relevant experience.
