Total
remuneration package valued to $68,348 p.a. ($55,453-$62,504), includes
employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Progression
criteria apply.
Responsible
for implementing and managing environmental monitoring and management
programs to facilitate effective management of bio-diversity throughout
the Region.
Selection
Criteria: A Degree in Science or related discipline. Knowledge and understanding
of physical and biological environments, threatening processes, environmental
sensitivity and vulnerability, and fire ecology. Demonstrated knowledge
and experience in scientific survey and environmental monitoring methodologies,
protocols and policies, data analysis and preparation of reports. Demonstrated
experience and competence in: project management, particularly multi-disciplinary
environmental projects. Knowledge and experience in preparation and
management of contracts/consultancies; financial management; computing
using GIS (ArcView), word processing and spreadsheets. Well developed
organisational, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
Extensive experience in liaison with Government Agencies, community
groups, volunteers and other stakeholders. Ability to interpret and
apply legislation. Demonstrated experience in preparation of works programmes,
budget control, reports, statistics. Current drivers licence. Willingness
to fly in light plane/helicopter. Common Selection Criteria also apply.
