The Australian Institute of Family Studies is a world class research body dedicated to improving the wellbeing of families. We are recruiting a Survey Data Manager to join our highly respected Longitudinal Studies team. This role is a linchpin for a number of our high profile, flagship surveys including Growing Up in Australia - the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children and Building a New Life in Australia, a study into the settlement experiences of humanitarian migrants.

The Survey Data Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the data we collect for these longitudinal studies (through a variety of instruments) and other complex databases we manage all meet the high standards required by academics and governments both in Australia and internationally.

Our ideal candidate has a strong track record of excellence in managing survey data. You might be an experienced data management professional working in government, academia or the private sector with a background or interest in survey data management. The ability to plan data management work, demonstrated commitment to data quality, meet project deadlines and write technical reports are essential technical skills, while excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for building and maintaining relationships with research staff and data users.

In addition to salary and 15.4 per cent superannuation, we offer a flexible and supportive workplace and generous leave provisions. Assistance to relocate to Melbourne may be offered to the right candidate.
