  • Salary range: $102,838 - $113,324 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

There is an exciting opportunity to join the Statistical Analysis and Modelling team at NSW Family and Community Services (FACS) to shape future policy direction. The Statistical Analysis and Modelling team works with policy makers and operational arms of the business to provide quantitative analysis and modelling services such as

  • statistical analysis for research and evaluation of programs
  • development of quantitative models such as for demand forecasting
  • lead on data linkage projects
  • governance support around data sharing and usage

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for undertaking modelling and analysis across a variety of projects to provide valuable insight and advice for FACS Districts and Program areas. You will work closely with the core business, and contribute to informing the policy formation that impacts FACS' most vulnerable clients.

You will need to demonstrate the capabilities for the role, and hold appropriate tertiary qualifications. Relevant professional experience in quantitative analysis and statistical software packages is required. This experience may have been obtained from a similar role in the public or private sectors. Human services experience will be viewed favourably but is not a pre-requisite.

To be successful in this role you must be suitably numerate, have excellent communication skills and be willing to dive into this exciting area of policy making.
