Sydney Trains' Fleet Maintenance Division is currently seeking to backfill an extended period of leave for a Fleet Analyst. This role provides a range of functions to assist the Fleet Manager, with the primary responsibility being the provision of timely and accurate statistical analysis of train and business performance.

The successful candidate for this role will also be responsible for supporting the Depot Engineering Manager in developing local rolling stock operations policies and procedures, and researching and documenting incident information in response to enquiries from regulatory or statutory authorities or any other area making a reasonable request.

Challenges you may expect to face in this role include creating data management systems to proactively identify issues to maintain the fleets and best manage the business, as well as tracking down the source of incorrect or inconsistent information to determine and ensure accuracy of information relating to in-service incidents.

The ideal candidate for this role will be qualified with formal Statistical degree qualifications, with the capacity to analyse information, use sound problem solving skills and present timely statistical and research reports.
