Queensland Treasury’s 2012 Graduate Program opens on Monday, 4 July 2011. There are 14 positions available.

Queensland Treasury’s GRADStart Graduate Program is designed for recent graduates of tertiary institutions. While the minimum requirement is a Bachelor Degree, we also encourage applicants who have recently completed or are currently completing post graduate studies. For the 2012 program we are looking for the following disciplines:

  • Public Policy
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Commerce
  • Law
  • Business
  • Maths
  • Science
  • IT
  • Arts
  • Philosophy, Politics and History
  • Communications/Marketing
  • Business Management

To be eligible to apply for the graduate program, applicants must have completed graduate study prior to the commencement of the program or within the last two years (i.e. no earlier than November 2009).

To be permanently appointed to Treasury, applicants must also be an Australian citizen; or reside in Australia and have permission under a Commonwealth law, to work in Australia and remain in Australia indefinitely. New Zealand citizenship is accepted.

Throughout the selection process applicants will be assessed on technical knowledge and against a number of desirable business attributes. Ideal candidates will perform well in the following areas: problem solving, verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, dependability, professional potential, conscientiousness, business acumen, drive for results, building relationships, self motivation and written communication.

The initial application involves the completion of an application form and online questionnaire (approx 40 minutes).
