Total remuneration package to: $79,114.00 ($66,333.00-$71,694.00) employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The NSW Attorney General’s Department is seeking a thorough, diligent person to apply their statistical skills in a leading-edge organisation. We need someone who will bring high standards of integrity and ethics to dealing with performance measurement issues in a complex and demanding legal environment. This is an opportunity to work with experts in court administration, law and IT to balance the burden of routine reporting with creating best practice methods to monitor and report on performance. The role is demanding, working under pressure to analyse and interpret statistical data and reports, and communicating the results clearly to non-experts.

Selection Criteria:

• Advanced knowledge of data collection methodologies and techniques of statistical analyses;
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing;
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work in partnership with senior managers;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, responding to urgent, unplanned requests for advice or analyses;
• Postgraduate degree or diploma in mathematical, economic or social statistics, or a degree in a related field with a substantial component in these areas;
• Understanding of, and commitment to, equal employment opportunity (EEO)
