The Communicable
Diseases and Health Protection Branch is responsible for the national
leadership and coordination in communicable and non-communicable disease
control policy and action within a population health environment.
The Surveillance
and Epidemiology Section is seeking someone who can contribute to the
development and implementation of national communicable disease surveillance
programs, by overseeing data management, undertaking epidemiological
and other statistical analysis, contributing to policy and specialist
advice and undertaking specialised projects. The successful candidate
will liaise with key stakeholders, including government and non-government
groups and other professional bodies.
Tertiary qualifications
in epidemiology, statistics or public health are essential. Tertiary
qualifications specific to communicable disease epidemiology would be
an advantage.
