Salary: Total remuneration
package valued to $83,121 pa includes salary ($75,325 pa), employer's
contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Responsible for
project based curriculum development and support in the area of Mathematics
K-12, with emphasis on Years 7-12.
Selection Criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary
qualifications.
- Outstanding recent
teaching experience in government or non-government schools.
- Understanding
of recent curriculum and assessment developments in mathematics education.
- Understanding
of the Boards syllabus development process.
- Ability to produce
quality curriculum materials to support the teaching of mathematics.
- Demonstrated
ability to manage projects.
- Capacity to support
and lead projects across learning areas.
- High level of
interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Expertise in
the use of computer software in a Windows environment.
- Knowledge and
understanding of equal employment opportunity (EEO)
- Knowledge and
understanding of ethical practice.
- Knowledge and
understanding of Ethnic Affairs Priority Statement (EAPS)
- Knowledge and
understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS)
Notes: Temporary
employment/secondment under section 38 of the Public Sector Management
Act 1988 or sections 24 or 101 of the Public Sector Employment and Management
Act 2002 for a period of 1 year commencing Term 1, 2003. Consistent
with the entitlements of public sector applicants, the Office is prepared
to negotiate bilateral agreements with current employers of successful
non-government school applicants to facilitate right of return and recognition
of service while employed by the Office. You can
