BMRC is seeking a scientist to take a leading role in the planning and implementation of prototype operational nowcasting systems and procedures for use within the nowcasting program. The appointee will coordinate and interact with user groups and direct system development interact with user groups and direct system development consistent with operational requirements.

Qualification and Experience: MSc or PhD in a relevant field is desirable, along with extensive knowledge of Bureau operational functions including nowcast forecasting techniques. Research experience is desirable.

Standard Public Service conditions apply.
