The Pharmaceutical
Evaluation Section has gained an interational reputation for the rigorous
evaluation of pharmaceuticals to promote their rational allocation.
It achieves this
by:

trials, meta-analyses and observational studies;
- reviewing economic
analyses based on and modelled from these studies; and
- advising on the
policy applications of these evaluations.
The successful applicants
will have the opportunity to participate in leading edge developments
in clinical and economic evaluation and to make an effective contribution
to the health and welfare of Australians.
Applications are
invited from suitably qualified persons to join a multidisciplinary
team. The successful applicants will help develop the policies and procedures
of the work area. The candidates will be required to undertake or coordinate
projects and provide administrative or specialised support to independent
expert committees. The successful applicants are also expected to take
responsibility for individual evaluations but will also have ready access
to internationally recognised experts to provide advice on specific
technical issues that may arise.
