Total remuneration package to $65,821 pa.

The position is responsible for assisting the Mangement Accountant in the preparation of the Legal Aid Commission's budget, compiling reports and communicating the analysis of budget variances to management.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience or knowledge of preparing budgets at both macro and micro level.
• Extensive experience in the preparation of financial management information including detailed analysis of financial data and communicating same to non-accounting managers.
• Appreciation of costing systems and cost attribution methodologies.
• Experience in computerised financial systems.
• Analytical and problem solving skills combined with the ability to work within strict deadlines and with minimum of supervision.
• Demonstrated high level communication skills (both oral and written).
• Knowledge of Public Finance and Audit Act, Treasurer's Directions and other relevant legislation.
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
• Microsoft Office applications.
