The Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) is a Commonwealth statutory authority providing a national focus for Vocational Education and Training (VET). The authority reports to an industry-led private sector board and the ANTA Ministerial Council which represents the Commonwealth and each State and Territory within Australia.

An opportunity exists for an experienced officer to work as part of a team within ANTA that has responsibility for activities in relation to research, planning and reporting of the VET system. The primary responsibility of the Senior Research and Data Analysis Officer is to manage and participate in a project focusing on analysing and reporting future growth, and factors affecting demand, for vocational education and training in Australia. The project will also contribute to the development of the new National Strategy for Vocational Education and Training.

The position will be filled on a contract basis for a period of up to 18 months to commence immediately and to cease on 31 December 2003. An attractive salary range between $53,166 to $67,848 per annum is offered and will be determined by the successful candidate's experience, skills and ability.
