Duties: In this challenging position you will both direct and play a hands-on role in the
research and evaluation of systems to enhance the firepower capability of the Australian
Defence Force (ADF) through the application of novel technologies, with a particular
focus on Metal Storm technology.

The position requires:

Expertise in mathematical modelling and simulation;
Ability to address issues and mechanisms critical to future weapons development
including, artificial intelligence, networking, data fusion and data transfer and
recognition;
Project management skills including, technical risk assessment, product
development, defining and consolidating design methods, specification writing
and performance monitoring.

NOTE: This is a non-ongoing position. The position will be filled on a
Specified Term basis for a period of 18 months. It is expected (subject
to operational requirements) the term of employment may be extended
by a further 18 months.
