Duties: You will direct and have a hands-on role in the research and evaluation of
systems to enhance the firepower capability of the ADF through the application of novel
technologies, with a particular focus on Metal Storm technology.

The position requires expertise in one or more of the following:

• Mathematical modelling and simulation;
• Research issues and mechanisms for future weapons development;
• Artificial intelligence and data fusion;
• Design and performance optimisation of novel and non conventional munitions;
• Computational structural and fluid dynamics;
• Design and conduct of experimental investigations in support of group programs.

NOTE: This position will be filled on a Specified Term basis for a period of 18 months.
It is expected that subject to operational requirements, the term of employment may be
extended by a further 18 months.
