Total remuneration package to: $69,689.00 ($58,339.00-$63,730.00)

Duties: Coordinate and advise specialist scientists and other professional
staff on statistical analysis and modelling of a broad range of forest
resources data. Provide specialist biometric services for experimental
design and analysis. Manage and further develop an integrated, multi-layered
system for long-term storage of, and secure access to, research databases
and project information.
- Selection Criteria:
Degree in Statistics or a Science Degree with a major in resources
statistics, or equivalent.
- Well developed
statistical analysis and communication skills and the capacity to
provide biometric services, information and advice to research staff.
- Demonstrated
skills in statistical, spatial and temporal modelling techniques and
an ability to manage and analyse complex ecological and resource datasets.
- Broad experience
in analysis of biological, environmental or resource management data
is required, including use of non-parametric and generalised linear
modelling techniques.
- Well developed
computing skills and programming ability.
- Demonstrated
proficiency with contemporary database (including MS SQL Server) and
statistical packages (including SAS, S Plus, Statistica, Arc Info).
- Demonstrated
experience in supervising technical support staff.
- Demonstrated
client-oriented perspective.
- Current drivers'
licence.
