You will be engaged
in the Thermal & Fluids Engineering Group running, modifying and developing
computer codes that predict the fluid motion and mixing behaviour in
a range of novel mixers currently being developed in our laboratories.
You will utilise both commercial CFD software and undertake software
development on existing (in-house) parallel simulation code and will
be responsible for the development of new software. You will liaise
with experimental research scientists and will be involved in designing
and running experiments in the laboratory. You will have the opportunity
to interact with the commercial users of the developed technology.
You will have a
recognised PhD in physics,applied mathematics or engineering.
Experience in Lagrangian chaos, dynamical systems or fluid dynamics
is essential, as is experience in code development for numerical development
in one of these areas.
