Working at the Fire Science & Technology Laboratory you will have a recognised PhD in engineering, applied mathematics (numerical analysis) or physics. The successful applicant will be engaged in developing CFD-based fire engineering models that incorporate Large Eddy Simulation (radiation and soot) that will allow the specification of design fires for any type of material and its configuration.
