Geoscience Australia is seeking a suitably qualified person to be the Systems Manager in the Information Management and Access Program of its National Mapping Division located in Fern Hill Park, Canberra.

The National Mapping Division provides fundamental geographic information to support the mining, agricultural, transport, tourism and communications industries and also supports activities in the areas of defence, education, surveillance and emergency services.

The Systems Manager is one or two Assistant Director positions in the National Mapping Customer Support area. The occupant of the position will need to work closely with the Director and other Information Management and Access Staff to deliver appropriate services to Geoscience Australia map and digital data clients and distributors.

An associate diploma or equivalent in spatial information technology or a related field would be highly desirable.
