The
NSW Police Service is recruiting 53 Intelligence Analysts at Local Area
Commands across NSW. The positions work in the field of criminal intelligence
and are located at Local Area Commands across the State. The positions
are responsible for the provision of local intelligence products including
operational, tactical and strategic intelligence assessments; risk assessments
and trend analysis; target development; research, analysis and problem
solving and providing intelligence support for pro-active intelligence
led investigations and crime prevention strategies at a local level.
Tertiary
qualifications in a research and/or analytical related discipline. Demonstrated
research and analytical skills. Experience in preparing intelligence
assessments and delivering intelligence briefings. Understanding of
and ability to apply intelligence concepts. High level oral and written
communication skills. Demonstrated ability to implement projects. Experience
in the use of computerised information management systems. Understanding
of risk management methodology.
Note:
Civilian employment within the NSW Police Service is in accordance with
the NSW Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment 1997)
Award. Successful applicants will be subject to rigorous background
checks as a condition of employment. The positions may involve infrequent
wqork outside normal business hours. Applicants will need to obtain
