The Local Network Officer is responsible for assisting in the management of selected Core Function Directorate's Sub-programs an dprovide assistance in developing innovative solutions to project development and analysis functions associated with the Core Function Directorate's program; represent the Authority at Local Council Traffic Committee meetins and other forums as required.

Selection Criteria: Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive relevant experience; analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to analyse information and develop innovative solutions to complex traffic management problems; high level of written and oral communication skills including proven ability to deal tactfully and effectively with epople at senior levels within the organisation and in other agencies; demonstrated problem solving, liaision, negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution skills; ability to oversee cost benefit analysis, prioritise projects and assist in the formulation of programs of works.

It is a prerequisite that applicants possess a current motor vehicle driver's licence and be prepared to work outside normal working hours on occasions.
