Information Management Branch requires an experienced Data Modeller to take responsibility for the development of a corporate data model for AGSO's scientific databases, and to co-ordinate the implementation of corporate standards for database development, documentation and validation.

The successful candidate will have experience in development of scientific databases; Geoscientific database experience would be an advantage. He/she will be experienced with Oracle Designer and Oracle Developer. Oracle 8 experience would be an advantage. Further, he/she will have good communication skills and an ability to relate well to staff at all levels. The successful applicant will work with limited direction and therefore must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to the achievement of objectives.

A degree or other formal qualifications in computer science or related disciplines would be an advantage.
