You
will work in a small team developing and using models and simulations
to assess both the performance of submarine sensor and weapon systems
and overall submarine tactical effectiveness. This involves operations
analysis studies aimed at assessing the effectiveness of current and
potential future maritime platforms in submarine warfare.
The
position requires:
- A high level
of analytical skills;
- Good verbal and
written communication skills with the ability to explain scientific
concepts to non-scientists;
- A willingness
and ability to participate in trials at sea;
- A PhD in disciplines
relevant to mathematical modelling of physical processes, or equivalent
qualification and experience.
