As part of a small team you will develop and use models and simulations to assess both the performance of sensor and weapon systems and the tactical effectiveness of maritime surface combatants and aircraft. This knowledge will determine new capability requirements, and assist in the assessment of potential new platforms and the development of new tactics.

The position requires:

• The ability and relevant experience to lead a team of analysts, as well as contribute to personal research objectives;
• Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
• A PhD in disciplines relevant to mathematical modelling of physical processes, or equivalent qualification and experience.
